Baseball Recap: Harmony Falls to Viera in First Game of Season

Harmony unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They fell just short of the Viera Hawks by a score of 2-1 on Wednesday. The Longhorns were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Hawks apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in February of 2024.

Harmony got a good showing from Alexavier Lebron, who tossed one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits.

On the hitting side, Harmony saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Samuel Castillo, who went 1-for-3 with two stolen bases and one double. Those two stolen bases gave Castillo a new career-high.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Harmony will venture away from home to square off against Rockledge at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Viera, they will head out to challenge St. Cloud at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
