Last Thursday, Raleigh Christian Academy came up short against Non Varsity Opponent and fell 44-31. Raleigh Christian Academy has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Garris Massey, who scored 13 points along with two steals and two blocks. That's the first time this season that he posted two or more blocks. Another player making a difference was Jonathan Hopkins, who scored six points along with five rebounds.
Meanwhile, Scotland Christian Academy unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Friday. They took a 80-69 hit to the loss column at the hands of Southeastern Christian Academy. Scotland Christian Academy has struggled against Southeastern Christian Academy recently, as their contest on Friday was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.
Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the most dominant came from Jeffrey St.Onge, who scored 22 points. He hasn't dropped below 15points for five straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Kadin Bryson, who scored 13 points along with nine rebounds and three blocks.
Raleigh Christian Academy's loss was their third straight on the road, which bumped their record down to 2-13. Those losses could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 23.7 points per game. As for Scotland Christian Academy, their defeat ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 9-4.
This contest is one where the number of possessions is likely to be a big factor: Raleigh Christian Academy have been smashing the glass this season, having only averaged 29.6 rebounds per game. However, it's not like Scotland Christian Academy struggles in that department as they've been averaging only 33.2 rebounds per game.
