Volleyball Recap: Pueblo Centennial Comes Up Short at Home Against Palmer + How To Watch

Pueblo Centennial unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-court advantage in their season opener. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Palmer Terrors on Thursday. The Bulldogs haven't had much luck with the Terrors recently, as the team has come up short the last five times they've met.

The match finished with set scores of 25-19, 25-11, 20-25, 25-15.

Emily Brunner paced Pueblo Centennial's offense, picking up four kills. Brunner got some help from Sierra Montoya and her ten assists. Montoya was also solid from the service line: she led the team with five aces.

The win (which was Palmer's third in a row) raised their record to 3-0.

Looking ahead, Pueblo Centennial will be playing in front of their home fans against Mitchell at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Palmer, they will venture away from home to square off against Sand Creek at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
