Soccer Recap: Appleton West Takes a Loss

While it was all tied up 1-1 at halftime, Appleton West was not quite Hortonville's equal in the second half on Tuesday. They fell just short of the Polar Bears by a score of 2-1. While losing is never fun, Appleton West can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Wisconsin soccer rankings (they are ranked 191st, while Hortonville are ranked third).

Appleton West's defeat dropped their record down to 1-9-1. As for Hortonville, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 12-0-1.
