Basketball Recap: Murrah Comes Up Short

Murrah was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their 14th straight defeat. They came up short against the Clinton Arrows, falling 54-34. Sadly, that's the third time they've come up short against the Mustangs this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 49-31 last Tuesday.

Clinton's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Caitlin White, who posted eight points along with eight assists and seven boards. White is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last five games she's played. Jatoi Johnson was another key player, going 7 of 12 en route to 14 points and seven rebounds.

Murrah's loss dropped their record down to 4-22. As for Clinton, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 20-7.

Murrah does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Clinton, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 57-35 defeat against Tupelo on the 4th.
