Volleyball Preview: Chippewa Chipps vs. Waynedale Golden Bears
Chippewa is 2-8 against Waynedale since September of 2020 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Chipps will head out on the road to challenge the Golden Bears at 7:00 p.m. Chippewa is coming into the contest hot, having won their last three games.

Chippewa won the last time they faced Northwestern and Rory Petit did her part to make sure it happened again. The Chipps put the hurt on the Huskies with a sharp 3-0 victory on Thursday with plenty of help from Petit, who had 15 digs and two aces. She is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had ten or more in each of the last 14 games she's played.
Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-15, 25-13, 25-18.
Meanwhile, Waynedale didn't have quite enough to beat Tuslaw on Saturday and fell 2-1. While the Golden Bears didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Mustangs 25-19 in the first set.
Waynedale started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last two. The match finished with set scores of 19-25, 25-21, 25-20.
Chippewa will have to keep a close watch on Kylie Geiser and Mya Spitler, a pair of players who had a big impact on Waynedale's prior game. Geiser had 13 digs and two aces, while Spitler had nine digs. Kimmy Swartzentruber also deserves some recognition as she posted her first assist of the season.
Chippewa's win bumped their record up to 11-7. As for Waynedale, their loss dropped their record down to 13-7.
