Baseball Preview: Tombstone Yellow Jackets vs. St. Johns Redskins        
        
		
            
 Tombstone has been on the road for two straight, but  on Friday they'll finally head home. They will take on the St. Johns Redskins at 6:30  p.m.  on Friday. Tombstone is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8.4  runs per game  this season.
 Last Monday, Tombstone came up short against Bisbee  and fell  6-3.
 Tombstone saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was  DJ Elias, who  scored a  run while going 1-for-4.  Hank Moody was another key contributor,  going 3-for-4 with  an  RBI.
 Meanwhile,  with a playoff game on the line, St. Johns rose to the challenge  on Wednesday. They walked away with  a   7-4  victory over the Eagles. Winning may never get old, but St. Johns sure is getting used to it with their third in a row.
  Clance Wiltbank made a big impact no matter where he played. On the mound, he  struck out nine batters over  4.1 innings while giving up just two earned  (and two unearned) runs off   five  hits. Wiltbank was also stellar in the batter's box,  scoring a  run and  stealing a base while going 2-for-4. He is on a roll when it comes to  stolen bases, as he's  now  stolen  at least one in the last three games he's  played.
 In other batting news,  Michael Bushman was  excellent,  scoring three  runs while going 2-for-4. Another player making a difference was  Kaden Waite, who  scored a  run and  stole a base while going 2-for-3.
 Tombstone's defeat  ended  a  four-game streak of away wins  and  brought them to 18-7. As for St. Johns, their win bumped their record up to 16-10.
 The pitchers for both teams better look sharp  on Friday as neither team is afraid to steal. Tombstone has been swiping bases left and right this season,  having  averaged 4  stolen bases per game. However, it's not like St. Johns struggles in that department as   they've been averaging 5.6. The only question left is which team can snag more.
 Everything went Tombstone's way against St. Johns in their previous matchup  back in May of 2021 as Tombstone made off with  a  14-6 victory. Does  Tombstone have another victory up their sleeve, or will St. Johns turn the tables on them?  We'll have the answer soon enough.
