Basketball Recap: Green Ridge Comes Up Short

After flying high against Sacred Heart last Friday, Green Ridge came back down to earth. The Green Ridge Tigers had to suffer through a 61-16 loss at the hands of the Warsaw Wildcats. While losing is never fun, the Tigers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Missouri basketball rankings (they are ranked 488th, while the Wildcats are ranked 218th).

Tanna Howe was her usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 22 points and 12 steals for Warsaw. The dominant performance gave Howe a new career-high in steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Sara Miller, who went 6 of 12 en route to 18 points and four steals.

Green Ridge's loss dropped their record down to 2-12. As for Warsaw, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 10-6 record this season.

Green Ridge has already played their next game (against La Monte), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Warsaw has already played their next contest, a 49-38 defeat against Versailles on the 21st.
