Softball Recap: West Scranton's Losing Streak Is a Thing of the Past

West Scranton came into Wednesday's matchup having lost seven straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They were the clear victors by an 18-3 margin over the Scranton Prep Cavaliers on Wednesday. The Invaders' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

West Scranton let Mia Keenan and Brianna Connor run wild. Keenan went a perfect 4-for-4 with one home run, three runs, and four RBI, while Connor went 2-for-3 with one home run, three runs, and four RBI. Those four hits gave Keenan a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Julia Farkaly, who scored three runs while going 2-for-4.

West Scranton always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .613. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

West Scranton's victory was their first in the conference, bumping their conference record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 3-8. As for Scranton Prep, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-5 record this season.
