Basketball Recap: North Greene Falls Despite Big Games from Sydney Schutz and Layna Bushnell + How To Watch

North Greene was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They lost to the Litchfield Purple Panthers on the road by a 41-24 margin. The Spartans were not able to make up for their defeat to the Purple Panthers from their previous meeting back in February.

North Greene's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Layna Bushnell, who posted seven points and ten boards, and Sydney Schutz, who had seven points. Schutz is also crushing it when it comes to steals: she's grabbed at least two every time she's taken the court this season. Mya Forrester was another key player, putting up two points in addition to six rebounds and three steals.

North Greene's defeat dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Litchfield, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-4.

Coming up, North Greene will take on Lincolnwood at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Litchfield, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 35-30 win against North Mac on the 25th.
