Basketball Recap: Edinburgh Takes a Loss

Edinburgh was the 57-40 winner over Cambridge City Lincoln when they last played one another back in January of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Edinburgh Lancers fell 82-75 to the Cambridge City Lincoln Golden Eagles on Saturday. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game last Tuesday (66), the Lancers still had to take the loss.

It was another big night for Aidan Munchel, who went 8-for-13 on his way to 31 points and five boards for Cambridge City Lincoln. The matchup was Munchel's fifth in a row with at least 20 points. Dustin Lunsford was another key player, going 7-for-13 en route to 20 points and five rebounds.

Edinburgh's defeat dropped their record down to 9-11. As for Cambridge City Lincoln, their victory bumped their record up to 12-7.

Coming up, Edinburgh will take on Sheridan at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Cambridge City Lincoln, they will face off against Seton Catholic at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Seton Catholic will roll in looking for their eighth straight win, something Cambridge City Lincoln surely won't give up without a fight.
