Softball Recap: West Valley Comes Up Short

West Valley couldn't beat San Jacinto on Wednesday even though they stacked four runs on them in the first inning. The Mustangs came up short against the Tigers, falling 25-5. The defeat continues a trend for the Mustangs in their meetings with the Tigers: they've now lost seven in a row.

Deonys Ioane was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and two RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Jennah Murphy, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base and one run.

West Valley's loss dropped their record down to 3-6. As for San Jacinto, their win ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 7-8.

West Valley has already played their next match, a 23-0 defeat against Temescal Canyon on the 16th. As for San Jacinto, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 14-6 loss against Elsinore on the 11th.
