Baseball Recap: Clinton Prairie Takes a Loss

Clinton Prairie has relied on a stalwart pitchers averaging 3.9 runs allowed per game, but that average took a hit on Monday. They came up short against the Delphi Community Oracles, falling 14-3. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Gophers have suffered since April 22nd.

Clinton Prairie saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jackson Price, who went 1-for-3 with one triple, one run, and one RBI. That triple was Price's first of the season.

Clinton Prairie's defeat dropped their record down to 15-6. As for Delphi Community, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-9 record this season.

Clinton Prairie is taking a road trip to take on Hamilton Heights at 10:00 a.m. on Monday. As for Delphi Community, they will look to defend their home field on Thursday against Fountain Central at 5:30 p.m.
