Baseball Recap: Triton Takes a Loss

Triton lost against Maple River back in April of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Cobras took a 7-4 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Eagles. That's two games in a row now that the Cobras have lost by exactly three runs.

Triton dropped their record down to 6-6 with the defeat, which was their fourth straight on the road. As for Maple River, their victory ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 8-5.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Triton will challenge Janesville-Waldorf-Pemberton at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Maple River, they will face off against Minnesota Valley Lutheran at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Eagles are facing the Chargers at the right time seeing as the Chargers are stuck on a three-game losing streak.
