Basketball Game Preview: Carver College and Career Academy Wolverines vs. Mathews Blue Devils

The Carver College and Career Academy Wolverines will challenge the Mathews Blue Devils at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.

Carver College and Career Academy is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to 63 points back in December of 2024, they were much more limited against Petersburg two weeks ago. While the Blue Devils didn't have the best season last year (they finished 4-18), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.

Carver College and Career Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Mathews, their victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 7-3.

Everything came up roses for Carver College and Career Academy against Mathews in their previous matchup back in January of 2024, as the squad secured a 110-47 win. In that matchup, Carver College and Career Academy amassed a halftime lead of 51-19, an impressive feat they'll look to repeat on Tuesday.
