Baseball Recap: Ripon Comes Up Short

Ripon fought the good fight in their extra-innings contest against Waupun on Tuesday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Warriors by a score of 8-7. The Tigers have struggled against the Warriors recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive lost meeting.

Adam Mashock made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and got on base in all four of his plate appearances with one run. Braden Dudzinski also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.

Ripon's loss dropped their record down to 3-8. As for Waupun, the victory (which was their eighth in a row) raised their record to 10-1.

While Ripon had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:45 p.m. on Thursday.
