Soccer Game Preview: Mountain House vs. Central Catholic

The Mountain House Mustangs will take on the Central Catholic Raiders in a holiday battle at at 6:15 p.m. on Thursday. Mountain House's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for six straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.

Tuesday just wasn't the day for Mountain House's offense. They fell 2-0 to East Union on Tuesday.

Meanwhile, Central Catholic lost 8-1 to Patterson on Tuesday. While losing is never fun, the Raiders can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 531st, while the Tigers are ranked 55th).

Mountain House now has a losing record at 6-7-1. As for Central Catholic, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-5-1 record this season.
