Softball Recap: Bentonville West Has No Trouble Against Central

Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Bentonville West walked away with it. They put the hurt on the Central Tigers with a sharp 11-3 win on Thursday. The Wolverines haven't had any issues with the Tigers recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive victory against them.

Kendyl Jescheling looked comfortable as she pitched three innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off four hits. The dominant performance also gave her a new career-high in strikeouts (five).

On the hitting side, Regan Crusinbery was a standout: she went 3-for-4 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one triple. Those three hits gave her a new career-high. Eva Riffe was another key player, going 1-for-4 with three runs, one stolen base, and two RBI.

Bentonville West kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. They are 6-1 when they post 11 or more hits.

Bentonville West's win bumped their record up to 12-10. As for Central, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 16-11.

Bentonville West has already played their next game (against Bryant), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Central does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
