Suburban One - Continental recap September 10, 2013
Central Bucks West was the team that gained the most ground in the standings this week, jumping from seventh to fourth in Suburban One - Continental. Earlier in the week, the Bucks triumphed over William Tennent 19-12.
Quakertown scaled the state rankings by moving to 252 from 330 this week, the biggest jump in the league. The Panthers were able to make move up by defeating Upper Moreland 31-14.
Manny Nieves was the best receiver in the league this week as Souderton fell to Unionville. Nieves tallied 3 receptions for 90 yards. Markeem Graham helped Souderton's passing attack out by catching 2 balls for 17 yards.
Tyler Butler was the most successful running back in Suburban One - Continental this week. In 11 carries, he ran for 72 yards as Central Bucks East fell to the Indians. Teammate Brian Passman added to the ground attack by rushing for 64 yards.
Matt Radwanski put up the best numbers in passing as Central Bucks South fell to Coatesville. He finished with 22 completions for 222 yards. Radwanski's favorite target this week was Josh Adams, who caught 5 passes for 69 yards.
Leading the league in both passing and receiving yards, the Patriots' Zach Nelsen and Brandon Ilkiw have proven to be a lethal combination. 6-0 quarterback Nelsen has thrown for 489 yards this season, while Ilkiw has 8 catches for 199 yards. Adams from the Titans leads the league in rushing with 256 yards.
North Penn lost to Archbishop Wood 49-3 last week, the largest margin of any game.
