Trimble Tech has relied on a stalwart pitchers averaging four runs allowed per game, but that average took a hit on Tuesday. They took a 10-5 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Southwest Christian School Eagles. The Bulldogs' loss signaled the end of their six-game winning streak.

Trimble Tech saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Mario Reyna, who went 1-for-4 with one double and one RBI. That double marked the first that Reyna hit this season.

Trimble Tech's defeat dropped their record down to 14-7-2. As for Southwest Christian School, the win (which was their tenth in a row) raised their record to 14-6.

Looking ahead, Trimble Tech will venture away from home to face off against Cleburne at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Southwest Christian School, they will host Trinity Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Lions' pitching crew has only allowed 3.5 runs per game this season, so the Eagles' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
