Soccer Game Preview: Hopewell vs. Colonial Heights

Hopewell hasn't had much luck against Colonial Heights recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Blue Devils will look to defend their home pitch against the Colonials at 7:00 p.m. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Hopewell's defense heads into the game hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Thursday. They put the hurt on Dinwiddie with a sharp 4-0 win. The result kept Hopewell happy, as they haven't lost a game since April 17th.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Colonial Heights, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Thursday. They had just enough and edged out Matoaca 2-1. The score was all tied up 1-1 at the break, but Colonial Heights were the better team in the second half.

Hopewell's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 7-2-2. The home wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up one goal over those three contests. As for Colonial Heights, the victory got them back to even at 5-5-1.
