Recap: Scott's Branch Eagles vs. Hemingway Tigers
The Scott's Branch Eagles had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 23 points), and they went ahead and made it three on Thursday. They put the hurt on Hemingway with a sharp 37-11 win. That's another feather in the cap for Scott's Branch, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Scott's Branch found their leader in underclassman Zamaria Lowery, who dropped a double-double on 11 points and 11 rebounds. Lowery has been hot recently, having posted 11 or more rebounds the last three times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Ziaier Bryant, who scored nine points.
Scott's Branch's win bumped their record up to 7-11. As for Hemingway, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-17.
Scott's Branch won't have much time to rest: their next game is against East Clarendon at 6:00 p.m. on February 9th. Hemingway does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
