Basketball Recap: Make It Four in a Row for Braden River

Braden River had won three straight games and Lawaiian Long did his part to make it four on Friday. The Braden River Pirates walked away with a 63-51 win over the Venice Indians thanks in part to Long, who went 10 of 15 en route to 25 points and five rebounds. The matchup was his third in a row with at least ten points.

The team also got some help courtesy of Deven Womack, who posted 12 points along with five boards and three steals. That's the most points he has posted since back in December of 2024.

Braden River pushed their record up to 12-13 with the victory, which was their fifth straight at home. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 65.8 points per game. As for Venice, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost four of their last five contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 11-14 record this season.

Braden River will look to defend their home court on Monday against Spoto at 7:00 p.m. One thing working in Braden River's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last eight games. Venice has already played their next match (against North Port), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
