Basketball Recap: Make It Three in a Row for Olympia

Olympia waltzed into their game on Thursday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They walked away with a 69-59 victory over the Discovery Spartans.

Olympia's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from James Nowells, who went 7 of 12 en route to 19 points. The matchup was Nowells' fourth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Bishop Wenze, who almost dropped a double-double on nine points and 11 rebounds.

Olympia was working as a unit and finished the game with 18 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Discovery only posted seven assists.

Several Spartans players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Eric Dailey, who went 7 of 17 on his way to 18 points along with six boards and five assists. The team also got some help courtesy of Isaac Redding, who posted ten points in addition to six rebounds and three steals.

Olympia has been performing well recently as they've won seven of their last nine contests, which provided a nice bump to their 7-5 record this season. As for Discovery, their record now sits at 9-3.

Olympia wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 69-40 win against Palm Beach Lakes on the 27th. As for Discovery, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 72-37 victory against Maclay on the 27th.
