Basketball Recap: St. Mary's Academy Victorious

If DSST: Cedar wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played St. Mary's Academy, they should've done a better job of containing Aleena Nauman. The St. Mary's Academy Wildcats blew past the DSST: Cedar Falcons 44-23 on Monday thanks in part to Nauman, who dropped a double-double on 15 points and ten boards. Nauman is also crushing it when it comes to steals: she's grabbed at least two every time she's taken the court this season.

When it comes to explaining why DSST: Cedar lost, don't look at Raniya Paul. Despite the final result, she posted nine points. Aruai Randhal was another key player, putting up six points and five rebounds.

The victory got St. Mary's Academy back to even at 6-6. As for DSST: Cedar, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-6.
