Future UCLA Bruin Addisen Fisher of Oregon headlines a talented junior class.

Addisen Fisher of Bend (Ore.) begins the season as the top-ranked high school softball player in the junior class. The UCLA commit can hit the upper 60s in the circle and smashed 13 home runs as a sophomore.

LSU has two verbal commitments who could be program-changing players. Sa'Mya Jones of Dawson (Pearland, Texas) possesses power, speed, a great glove and patience. Last spring, she was walked 19 times and reached base safely in every game. The other is Jayden Heavener of Pace (Fla.), who struck out 15 or more batters in 12 games in 2022 and fanned 28 batters in a 12-inning game in April.

Players were selected based on 2022 statistics reported on MaxPreps, postseason honors at the local and national level and player rankings from ExtraInnings Softball, Perfect Game and Softball America. In addition, all players are expected to participate in the spring 2023 season or have already participated in the fall 2022 season. Opt-outs were not included.
