Basketball Recap: Chattahoochee County Snags 13th Win in Last 16 Games

It was a proper cat-fight when Chattahoochee County challenged Schley County on Monday. The Chattahoochee County Panthers were the clear victor by a 75-55 margin over the Schley County Wildcats. The Panthers have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won nine contests by 20 points or more this season.

Chattahoochee County's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Javen Tullis, who went 7 for 12 on his way to 16 points and six rebounds. The dominant performance gave Tullis a new career-high in points. Another player making a difference was Anazhon Purnell, who posted 12 points and five steals.

Schley County lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Amir Nelson, who had 16 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jordan Hudson, who earned 13 points.

Chattahoochee County has been performing well recently as they've won 13 of their last 16 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 18-8 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 65.8 points over those games. As for Schley County, their loss dropped their record down to 9-16.

Coming up, Chattahoochee County will head out on the road to challenge Macon County at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Macon County will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something Chattahoochee County surely won't give up without a fight. Schley County does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
