Volleyball Recap: Spring Valley Gets the Win

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Chaparral, Spring Valley was happy to have turned things around on Monday. They put the hurt on the Amplus Academy Archers with a sharp 3-0 win. The Grizzlies haven't had any issues with the Archers recently, as the game was their third consecutive victory against them.

The match finished with set scores of 25-16, 25-19, 25-20.

Dylan Agustin paced Spring Valley's offense, picking up nine kills. Agustin got some help from Zaydeus Palado and his 19 assists. Finally, Palado was also a dominant defender, finishing with a team-high five blocks.

Spring Valley's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-5. As for Amplus Academy, they are on a six-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-4.

Coming up, Spring Valley is taking a road trip to square off against Del Sol at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Del Sol will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something Spring Valley surely won't give up without a fight. As for Amplus Academy, they will take on Legacy at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
