Football Recap: Brandon Meyer and Demetrius Owens Lead the Defense for Teaneck Win

The matchup between Teaneck and Pascack Hills on Friday hardly resembled the 13-12 effort from their previous meeting. The Highwaymen took down the Broncos 39-20. The Highwaymen pushed the score to 31-6 by the end of the third, a deficit the Broncos cut but never quite recovered from.

Darius Denmark produced another solid effort rushing for 98 yards and a pair of touchdowns. Teaneck also got help from Deyton Walcott, who showed off his sure hands for 97 receiving yards.

Teaneck didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Brandon Meyer and Demetrius Owens. Christian Justiniano was another major factor on D, making 12 total tackles (2.0 for loss).

The win got Teaneck back to even at 2-2. As for Pascack Hills, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 0-3.

Coming up, Teaneck will be playing in front of their home fans against Passaic at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Pascack Hills, they will head out on the road to square off against Ramsey at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
