Football Game Preview: Quabbin Regional Panthers vs. Leicester Wolverines

The Quabbin Regional Panthers will head out on the road to take on the Leicester Wolverines at 6:30 p.m. on Saturday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, these teams will really light up the scoreboard.

It was a proper cat-fight when Quabbin Regional duked it out with Quaboag Regional last Friday. The Panthers breezed past the Cougars to the tune of 36-8. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Panthers.

Meanwhile, Leicester was able to grind out a solid win over Burncoat on Saturday, taking the game 37-28.

Quabbin Regional better keep an eye on Jaxon Ruth. He was instrumental in Leicester's win, rushing for 157 yards and a pair of touchdowns on only 13 carries, while also throwing for 87 yards and one TD on only eight passes. Those 157 rushing yards gave Ruth a new career-high.

The victory got Leicester back to even at 1-1. As for Quabbin Regional, their win bumped their record up to 2-0.
