Basketball Recap: St. Mary's Academy triumphant thanks to a strong effort from Isaac Engholm

Basketball Recap: St. Mary's Academy Crusaders vs. Lincoln HomeSchool Eagles
On Friday, in a tight game that could have gone either way, St. Mary's Academy made off with a 55-54 win over the Eagles. The victory was all the more spectacular given St. Mary's Academy's disadvantage in MaxPreps's basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 255th in Kansas, while the Eagles are ranked 54th in Nebraska).
Isaac Engholm was nothing short of spectacular: he scored 14 points along with six rebounds and six steals. Another player making a difference was Nick Whitehead, who scored 16 points along with six rebounds and two steals.
St. Mary's Academy's win bumped their record up to 6-10. As for Lincoln HomeSchool, their defeat dropped their record down to 14-5.
St. Mary's Academy will head out on the road to face off against the Wildcats at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Lincoln HomeSchool does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
