The Vallivue Falcons will venture away from home to take on the Skyview Hawks at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Skyview took a loss in their last match and will be looking to turn the tables on Vallivue, who comes in off a win.
Vallivue took a ten-run loss the last time they faced off against Bishop Kelly, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Falcons sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 7-6 win over the Knights on Tuesday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Falcons.
Maris Farner spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered four earned (and two unearned) runs on 11 hits.

At the plate, Sophia Kassotis was incredible, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 3-for-3. She is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last six games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Ali Knowles, who scored a run while going 2-for-3.
Skyview had taken Nampa down for two straight games at home, but that winning streak came to an end on Tuesday. The Hawks took a 7-4 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Bulldogs.
Skyview saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kenna Bettencourt, who scored a run while going 3-for-4.
Vallivue's victory was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 10-4. The team dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 8.8 runs. As for Skyview, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-8.
The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Wednesday as neither team is afraid to steal. Vallivue has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 4 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Skyview struggles in that department as they've been averaging 3.1 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
Vallivue couldn't quite finish off Skyview in their previous meeting back in April of 2024 and fell 6-4. Can the Falcons avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
