It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Broomfield had no problem doing just that on Saturday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Vista Ridge Wolves 49-7. Winning may never get old, but the Eagles sure are getting used to it with their sixth in a row.
Darien Jackson was nothing short of spectacular: he threw for 222 yards and four touchdowns while completing 77.8% of his passes, and also punched in two touchdowns on the ground. What's more, he also racked up 23 rushing yards, the most he's had since back in November of 2023. Another player making a difference was Elliot Less, who gained 96 total yards and a touchdown.
When it comes to explaining why Vista Ridge lost, don't look at Gabriel Mcfarland. Despite the final result, he rushed for 100 yards and a touchdown on only 11 carries. Mcfarland got the majority of those rushing yards when he took off on a run that went for an incredible 58 yards.
Broomfield's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 10-1. Those good results were due in large part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 6.7 points per game. As for Vista Ridge, their loss dropped their record down to 7-5.
