Basketball Recap: Peyton Makes It Five in a Row at Home

Peyton had won four straight home games and Maysn Gregg did her part to make it five on Tuesday. The Peyton Panthers simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat The Colorado Springs School Kodiaks 52-13 which was due in part to Gregg, who went 7-for-16 on her way to 16 points along with six steals and five assists. She is becoming a predictor of Peyton's success: when she posts at least five steals the team is undefeated (and 7-9 when she doesn't).

The team also got some help courtesy of Sammie Nickell, who posted two points in addition to six rebounds and five steals. That's the most steals she has posted since back in December of 2024.

Peyton is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 11-9 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 23.6 points over those games. The Colorado Springs School's defeat dropped their record down to 4-11.

Looking ahead, Peyton will look to defend their home court on Friday against North Fork at 4:00 p.m. The Colorado Springs School does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
