Basketball Game Preview: All Saints' Academy Saints vs. Lakeland Christian Vikings

The All Saints' Academy Saints will take on the Lakeland Christian Vikings at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Back in December of 2024, All Saints' Academy came up short against Frostproof and fell 53-42. The Saints have struggled against the Bulldogs recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost matchup.

Despite the loss, All Saints' Academy had strong showings from Landon Gall, who posted 13 points, and Jafar Curry JR, who earned 15 points. Curry JR continues to improve, besting his previous point total in each of the last four games he's played. Another player making a difference was Chris Matthews, who put up four points.

Meanwhile, Lakeland Christian was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their tenth straight defeat. They lost to Carrollwood Day on the road by a 64-45 margin. While losing is never fun, the Vikings can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 689th, while the Patriots are ranked 252nd).

Lakeland Christian's loss dropped their record down to 1-12. As for All Saints' Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-5.
