Softball Recap: Eastlake's Undefeated Season over After Four Games

Eastlake's last matchup with Redmond could've gone either way, but unfortunately the same can't be said for the pair's contest on Wednesday. Eastlake lost 17-5 to Redmond. The loss was the Wolves' first of the season.

Audrey Borup made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, four RBI, and one double. She has been hot recently, having posted at least one home run the last three times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Hannah Arnold, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 3-for-3.

Having lost for the first time this season, Eastlake fell to 3-1. As for Redmond, the victory (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 6-1.

Looking ahead, Eastlake will head out on the road to challenge Liberty at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. Eastlake's pitchers better be ready for this one: Liberty has averaged an impressive 8.3 runs per game this season. As for Redmond, they will welcome Issaquah at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (Redmond 3.3, Issaquah 2.5) so any runs scored will be well earned.
