Preview: Providence Classical vs. NorthPoint Christian Academy NightHawks

Providence Classical will head out on the road to take on the NorthPoint Christian Academy NightHawks at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are closely ranked in their respective states (Providence Classical is ranked 566th in South Carolina, while NorthPoint Christian Academy is ranked 545th in North Carolina).

Providence Classical struggled with assists on Friday (Lee Park Prep had seven more) and sadly the final score reflected it. Providence Classical took a 46-41 hit to the loss column at the hands of Lee Park Prep. Providence Classical has not had much luck with Lee Park Prep recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.

Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the best came from Xan Rahalawicz, who scored eight points along with seven rebounds and six steals. He is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last 21 games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Collin Davis, who scored 16 points.

Meanwhile, NorthPoint Christian Academy had to suffer through a rough 89-47 loss at the hands of Valor Preparatory Academy. NorthPoint Christian Academy was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 51-25.

Providence Classical's defeat was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 13-9. As for NorthPoint Christian Academy, they have not been sharp recently as the team has lost five of their last six matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 12-10 record this season.

Providence Classical came up short against NorthPoint Christian Academy in their previous meeting last Thursday, falling 58-53. Can Providence Classical avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
