Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Eustis). They never let the Christ School Greenies get on the board and left with a 10-0 win on Thursday. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Panthers considering their one-run performance the game before.
Eustis got a great performance from Sean Griffin as he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits over five innings pitched. Furthermore, Griffin didn't allow a single earned run, the first time he has blanked an opponent since back in April of 2024.
On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Ethan Jackson, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and one stolen base. Those three hits gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Jabriel Rivera Caraballo, who scored a run while going 2-for-3.
Eustis was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .500. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their batting average total in three consecutive matchups.
Eustis moved to 9-4 with that victory, which also ended their four-game losing streak. As for Christ School, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-7.
