Basketball Recap: Mapleton Extends Winning Streak to Four

Mapleton hadn't done well against Northwestern recently (they were 1-6 in their previous seven matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Saturday. The Mapleton Mounties had just enough and edged the Northwestern Huskies out 46-43. Given the Mounties' advantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 242nd, while the Huskies are ranked 607th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

The victory (which was Mapleton's fourth in a row) raised their record to 9-1. As for Northwestern, their defeat was their sixth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 2-9.
