Basketball Recap: Billingsley Takes a Loss

Billingsley lost against Maplesville back in January and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Billingsley Bears fell 41-34 to the Maplesville Red Devils. The Bears have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Maplesville to victory, but perhaps none more so than Nehemiah Mccary, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and 18 rebounds. Mccary is crushing it when it comes to boards: he's pulled down at least eight every time he's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Devon Nix, who posted 11 points and five assists.

Billingsley's defeat dropped their record down to 6-16. As for Maplesville, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 14-3 record this season.

As of now, neither Billingsley nor Maplesville have any future games scheduled.
