Cordova has gone a perfect 6-0 against Overton recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Monday. The Wolves will host the Wolverines at 5:00 p.m.

Cordova fell victim to First Assembly Christian and their airtight pitching crew on Thursday. They lost 10-0 to the Crusaders. The Wolves haven't had much luck with the Crusaders recently, as the team has come up short the last eight times they've met.

Meanwhile, Overton made easy work of Sheffield on Friday and carried off a 13-5 victory. The result was nothing new for the Wolverines, who have now won nine games by eight runs or more so far this season.

Overton let Tamarge Carey and Jeremiah Haynes run wild. Carey got on base in all three of his plate appearances with six stolen bases and two runs, while Haynes got on base in three of his four plate appearances with two stolen bases and three runs. Those six stolen bases gave Carey a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Aiden Dillard, who got on base in two of his three plate appearances with two stolen bases and two runs.

The win made it two in a row for Overton and bumps their season record up to 14-6-1. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 7 runs in those games. As for Cordova, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-4-1.

Cordova came out on top in a nail-biter against Overton in their previous matchup back in March of 2024, sneaking past 8-7. Do the Wolves have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Wolverines turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
