Baseball Preview: Tecumseh Braves vs. North Posey Vikings

Tecumseh and North Posey are an even 5-5 against one another since April of 2015, but likely not for long. The Tecumseh Braves will head out on the road to take on the North Posey Vikings at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Tecumseh will come in still looking for their first win of the season.

Tecumseh scored the most runs they've had all season in their second game on Saturday, but it wasn't enough. They fell just short of Washington by a score of 5-4.

Dillon DuPont put in work no matter where he played. He pitched five innings while giving up just one earned run off four hits. DuPont was also solid in the batter's box, scoring two runs while going 2-for-4.

In other batting news, Wyatt Huddleston was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring a run while going 2-for-2. Another player making a difference was Braydon Long, who scored a run while going 2-for-3.

Even though they lost, Tecumseh didn't let batters stay on the plate for long and finished the game with seven strikeouts. That's the most strikeouts they've managed all season.

Meanwhile, North Posey was able to grind out a solid victory over Heritage Hills on Friday, taking the game 4-1. The win made it back-to-back victories for North Posey.

Kade Buecher was incredible, going 2-for-3 with a home run and a stolen base.

Tecumseh has fallen quite a ways from their 19-9 record last season and are now at 0-5. As for North Posey, their win was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 7-2.
