On Saturday, Wheatland faced Torrington in a battle between two of the state's top teams. The Wheatland Bulldogs fell just short of the Torrington Trailblazers by a score of 39-37. The Bulldogs' defeat signaled the end of their nine-game winning streak.

Mac Hibben had an outrageously good game for Torrington as he shot 78% from the field to rack up 19 points. Thanks to that strong game, Hibben now owns an excellent 45.1% shooting accuracy. The team also got some help courtesy of Weston Dyer, who posted seven points.

Wheatland's loss dropped their record down to 15-13. As for Torrington, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 11-11.

Wheatland wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 46-38 win against Powell on the 13th. As for Torrington, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 52-37 victory against Mountain View on the 13th.
