Volleyball Recap: Teutopolis Extends Winning Streak to Four

Teutopolis came tearing into Saturday's contest with three straight wins , and they left with even more momentum. They walked away with a 2-0 win over the Highland Bulldogs. The Wooden Shoes were shut out 2-0 the last time they took on the Bulldogs, so the Wooden Shoes were just returning the favor.

Despite the loss, Highland saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Lexy Heath had 12 digs and one assist. Those 12 digs set a new season-high mark for Heath. Bella Russo also deserves some recognition as she had her first kill of the season.

Teutopolis' victory bumped their record up to 11-3. As for Highland, their defeat dropped their record down to an identical 11-3.

Teutopolis wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 2-0 win against MacArthur on the 20th. Highland has also already played their next game (against Charleston), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
