Basketball Recap: Chelsea Extends Home Winning Streak to Four

It's playoff time, and Chelsea had no trouble coming through when it counted. They walked away with a 49-38 victory over the Columbia Central Golden Eagles on Wednesday. Given the Bulldogs' advantage in MaxPreps' Michigan basketball rankings (they are ranked 28th, while the Golden Eagles are ranked 141st), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Despite the defeat, Columbia Central had strong showings from Rylee Knapp, who posted 12 points, and Leelyn Brown, who put up eight points. The team also got some help courtesy of Gabrielle Gaydosh, who scored 11 points.

Chelsea pushed their record up to 17-4 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home. As for Columbia Central, their loss dropped their record down to 12-11.
