Soccer Recap: Zapata Takes a Loss

Zapata managed to keep up with Hidalgo until halftime on Tuesday, but things quickly went downhill from there. The Zapata Hawks came up short against the Hidalgo Pirates, falling 8-2. The loss continues a trend for the Hawks in their matchups with the Pirates: they've now lost three in a row.

Zapata now has a losing record at 1-2. As for Hidalgo, their victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 5-1.

It'll be a Battle of the Birds when the Zapata take on the Valley View at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Hidalgo has already played their next game (against Grulla), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
