Volleyball Recap: Covington Has No Trouble Against Memphis East

Covington had to skate by with only a one-set margin when they last took the court, which might have inspired the three-set drubbing they dealt Memphis East on Thursday. The Chargers blew past the Mustangs 3-0. The victory continues a trend for the Chargers in their matchups with the Mustangs: they've now won four in a row.

The 3-0 score doesn't show just how dominant Covington was: they took every set by at least ten points. The final score came out to 25-9, 25-15, 25-12.

Ava McCalla paced Covington's offense, picking up 12 kills. McCalla got some help from Caroline Cole and her 17 assists. McCalla was also solid from the service line: she led the team with seven aces.

Covington's win bumped their record up to 2-0.
