The Liberty North Eagles will venture away from home to square off against the Raymore-Peculiar Panthers at 7:00 p.m. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Liberty North is headed into the contest having just suffered their biggest loss since December 13, 2024 on Thursday. They came up short against Blue Springs, falling 65-40. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as the Eagles came into the match with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' Missouri basketball rankings (they are ranked 12th, while the Wildcats are ranked 224th).

Meanwhile, Raymore-Peculiar was beaten by Staley 64-36 on Thursday. The Panthers have struggled against the Falcons recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost matchup.

Liberty North's defeat was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 7-1 and their overall record down to 13-5. As for Raymore-Peculiar, their loss dropped their record down to 11-9.

Liberty North came out on top in a nail-biter against Raymore-Peculiar in their previous matchup back in January, sneaking past 53-51. The rematch might be a little tougher for Liberty North since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
