Baseball Recap: Oak Grove Classical Academy Turns Things Around After Road Loss

There's no place like home for Oak Grove Classical Academy, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Tuesday. They blew past the Laguna Acoma Hawks 15-2 on Thursday. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Owls considering their two-run performance the match before.

Isaac Rush made a splash no matter where he played. He struck out seven batters over five innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off six hits (and not a single walk). He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two walks in eight consecutive appearances. He was also stellar in the batter's box, going 3-for-4 with one home run, four runs, and two stolen bases. He has become a key player for Oak Grove Classical Academy: the team is undefeated when he posts at least two runs, but 0-10 otherwise.

In other batting news, James Schroeder was a standout: he went 2-for-3 with three stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI. With that strong performance, he is now averaging an impressive 1.1 stolen bases per game. Another player making a difference was Grayson Grebe, who went 2-for-4 with three RBI, one triple, and one run.
