Football Game Recap: Grand Lake vs. Merryville

Merryville won the last time they met up with Grand Lake, and they shouldn't regret having come to the reunion, either. Merryville blew past Grand Lake 41-8. Merryville were expected to win, but the margin was definitely larger than the state rankings had forecast.

Merryville started the matchup off right with 28 first-half points. Meanwhile, Grand Lake couldn't get anything going offensively, leaving the score at 28-0 heading into the break. The Merryville defense stood its ground in the third quarter, giving up 0 and all but finishing the contest. The win bumped Merryville's record up to 1-5. The defeat dropped Grand Lake's record to 1-5.

Next week Merryville take on South Cameron at 7:00 PM. Unlike Merryville, South Cameron will be limping in after taking a loss. As for Grand Lake, they will face off against Hamilton Christian. Hamilton Christian are limping into the match on a six-game losing streak.
